Believe it or not, our modern diet and eating habits put us at risk to lose tooth enamel and dentin because of exposure to acids causing dental acid erosion.

This process happens slowly over time but once the outer surface of enamel is removed, erosion of the tooth accelerates by a factor of 6. So how can you prevent or slow this process down?

  • Limit your exposure to acidic foods and drink.
  • Brush your teeth before drinking your breakfast O.J. or grapefruit juice, the just rinse with water.
  • Don't hold your drinks or swish your drinks in your mouth.
  • Brush twice daily with a fluoridated toothpaste.
  • Use Sensodyne Pronamel.
