Meet Central Florida Dentist, Joseph Calderone, D.M.D., F.A.G.D. Dr. Calderone graduated in 1981 with honors from the Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry at Boston University where he also earned the Oral Surgery Award and the Pediatric Dentistry Award. He later received his M.B.A. from Rollins College in 1986. He has achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Society. Additionally, he was voted into “The Best Dentists in America” publication by his peers and serves as a mentor and clinical instructor in the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington, as well as an adjunct clinical associate professor at the University of Florida. He is a member in good standing of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Central District Dental Association, and Dental Society of Greater Orlando where he is currently President. Because of his relentless pursuit of excellence, he has completed nearly 2,000 hours of continuing dental education courses after becoming a dentist.

Ever active in his community and within the dentistry profession, Dr. Calderone has served as the editor for the Journal of the Dental Society of Greater Orlando, treasurer for the Central District Dental Society, represents Central Florida in the House of Delegates to the Florida Dental Association, is a past board member of the West Volusia Chamber of Commerce and the Seminole County YMCA. In addition to performing pro-bono dental work for those in need through Orlando VoTech, he is the Official Dentist of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, volunteers his time within the schools to speak about dental health and careers, is an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of Sanlando United Methodist Church. He and his wife Tina reside in Longwood, Florida with their two children.
